Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire facelift

Indian automobile giant Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the facelift of their most promising sedan Swift Dzire. Company launched the current avatar of the car in Feb 2012, since then it does not get any changes and upgradation from its Japanese automaker.

The compact sedan segment is the fastest growing segment in automobile world in India. It has the fastest growing accounting for 80% of the lower-mid segment which sees monthly sales of 30,000 units. Currently Dzire is getting competition in this segment from rivals like Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and upcoming Tata Zest. All these companies have incorporated their best technologies in this sub 4 metre sedan segment.

Pictures shows that there are not very big changes in the car but upgraded and modified to some extent. Firstly talking about the exterior of the car then the car got new chrome-slab across the grille area and new smoked headlights. The foglamps are also upgraded with chrome element,while chrome bar on the bootlid and the accompanying badges do not differ. The rear bumper of the car also got some changes with no centrally placed reflectors as from the current version.

Interior of the car got nominal changes on dashboard but the most interesting feature that brings all the attention is of push start button. This time company planned to give tough competitions to its rivals with respect to the feature.

Company does changed the engine specifications of the car, as it is still loaded with 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine. Both the versions are provided with 5 speed manual transmission. The price of the car has not been revealed but it is expected that it should get nominal changes. As per rumours, The AMT gear box introduced in Maruti Suzuki Celerio might also arrive in this car.
