Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been creating buzz since its first time preview in the country. More interestingly, the compact SUV is priced in an outstanding manner that the closest rival had to announce a price drop eventually. But, the price drop hadn't worked in the favour of the Ford EcoSport this time.
As per the recent sales update, the Vitara Brezza has confidently managed to outsell its closest rival, the Ford EcoSport in the market. The sales figure for the month of april indicates that the Brezza is two times ahead of the Ecosport.
Despite the price cut, Ford managed to sell around 3789 units of the EcoSport in April, while Maruti was able to sell around 7832 units of the Vitara Brezza. It has been noted that the Vitara Brezza had overtaken the rival quite before the month. Since, its launch the compact SUV Brezza has witnessed amazing bookings and enquires, which no other car in the segment witnessed before.
As of Now, the Vitara Brezza is available with the only Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre diesel engine. This motor is capable of churning out 88.5Bhp at 4000rpm and a peak torque of 200Nm at 1750rpm. Like other Maruti cars, this C-SUV also delivers an impressive mileage figure of 24.3 km/l. On the other hand, the Ford EcoSport offers both petrol and diesel options. It offers a dual clutch (DCT) automatic transmission paired to a 1.5-litre petrol unit, while the Vitara Brezza engine comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
