KNIGHT Auto Customizer, Chennai has experimented with the Maruti Swift and provided a new matte purple color to make it look different on Indian roads when it comes to Swifts model.
To add sporty character, a 'Swift Sport' inspired body kit also has been installed and now it looks sporty in gunmetal lashes around the fog lamp, a sportier bumper, honeycomb mesh for the radiator grille and the upper portion, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, gunmetal 5-spoke alloy rims, black ORVM caps, sculpted faux intakes concerning the engine hood.
The India-spec Swift comes fitted with a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine producing 75 PS/190 Nm and a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine producing 84.3 PS/115 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It renders a fuel mileage number of 20.4 km/L for petrol and 25.2 km/L for diesel as certified by ARAI.
As the reports suggest, the Maruti will bring the new hatchback, the 3rd gen Maruti Swift in 2018 starting, and it will be the counterpart of newly launched the 3rd gen Dzire.
The new 2018 Maruti Swift will use the latest HEARTECT 5th gen platform and maintain the weight below 950 kg. The engine of the car is expected to remain the same along with a 5-speed AGS (AMT) probably with diesel and petrol variants for the first time.
