Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the limited edition Swift SP at Indian shores with both diesel and petrol options at the price of INR 5.84 Lacs and 4.78 Lacs respectively (both prices, ex-showroom). People who want to buy this car can get it booked at any Maruti dealership by depositing a token amount of INR 10,000. This new Swift is a refreshed version of the entry level models LXi and LDi. Owing to the changes and some newly added elements, this edition has been priced more than the current model by INR 35,000.
Visually, the car highlights a black-colored body molding at the bottom of the doors on either side. There are SP badges found at the driver's door and on the boot lid of the hatchback. Further, it carries a blackened A-Pillars, hub caps on the wheels and body colored wing mirrors. Moving inside, the seats as well as steering wheel get a new cover and there is an audio system accompanied by 4 speakers. This system is compatible with Bluetooth and USB facility. Other notable features include power windows, central locking system, keyless entry, 60:40 rear split seats, reverse parking sensors, etc.
Under the hood, this limited edition hatchback will be fitted with the same powertrain that is found in the current Swift. It comprises a 1.2 litre K Series petrol unit tuned to generate 83.14 Bhp and 115 Nm of output. Another one is a 1.3 litre diesel motor that has the ability to pump out 73.94 Bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox will be available for transmission in both the powertrain options.
