The much awaited Mercedes-Benz GLC has finally arrived at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. This new variant had already made its world debut in the mid of last year and now, it's expected to be launched later this year. Till now, Mercedes does not sell any SUV between GLA and GLE Class. Therefore, the new GLC steps in this category. Talking about its price, it's expected to be near INR 40 Lakhs and is likely to come through CKD route.
It will replace the GLK globally, which was available only with left-hand and hence GLC is a welcome addition. Moving to its design, the SUV looks like a C-Class on steroids and the front end carries the family face, having a C-Class-esque headlamps along with a massive twin-slat grille. The new SUV has set an excellent standard with outstanding energy-efficiency.
It consists of an air-body control multi-chamber air suspension and mechanically, it has 4MATIC permanent all-wheel that enhances the vehicle's sport agility. Overall, it has a clear and sensual design which serves as the standard for future SUV families. Whenever, GLC introduced in India, it will be available with two diesel engine option and will compete with the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
