Mercedes Launched C 300 and S 500 Cabriolets in India, Here are Prices and Details

In a step towards expanding the Indian lineup, the German luxury auto giant has added two new Cabriolet models of the Mercedes S-Class and C-Class. The new C 300 Cabriolet is priced at INR 60 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi) while the more luxurious expensive S 500 Cabriolet available at INR 2.25 Crore (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Both the models are part of Mercedes’s drop-top range which also includes the SLC 43 and the E 400 cabriolet.

Coming on the less expensive C-Class model, the cheapest Mercedes four-seat drop-top, C 300 houses a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine beneath its front-end and capable of producing the maximum power of 245 hp. This is the same engine unit which powers the Mercedes GLC 300 SUV. The power mill is mated to a standard 9-Speed automatic gearbox, while the Dynamic Select is available as an optional which enables the drive to choose an appropriate drive mode among the five.

The C 300 reaches 100 kmph from a standstill in 6.4 seconds and the top speed is limited to the 250 kmph.

The second drop-top and ultra-luxury model, S-Class S 500 Cabriolet which is based on full-size S-Class, gets a powerful 4.7-litre twin turbo V8 engine which produces the massive power output of 442 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The car gets 0-100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds while the top is limited to the 250 kmph. Based on the S-Class, it features the similar design style with the exterior measurements of 5,027 mm in length and 1,899mm in width.

The roof of this luxury soft-top convertible extended or folded away electrically in just 20 seconds at a speed of up to 60 kmph, moreover, it can also be operated via the remote key. There is a range of colour options are available for the fabric roof. It also gets Mercedes’ new Thermotronic Climate Control System that automatically adjust the temperature using the sensors and AirCrap system which is further used to reduce the wind noise in the cabin.
