Mercedes has successfully launched its much-anticipated Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard in India with a price tag of INR 10.50 crore (ex showroom, Delhi). The S600 Guard is said be the most armoured version of the Mercedes car that proudly meets the VR10 protection rating employed to the highest civilian vehicles. The car is made up of some sophisticated metal work that makes with bullet proof and tough.
Moreover, the car is so tough that it can easily withstand 15 kg of TNT explosive from a distance of 4 meters. The premium tyres are capable of running without going flat in case of any bullet firing. Additionally, the car comes with some best in-class features like rear seat repositioning, that enables the passengers to sit further back from the front seats comfortably. The windows too comes with special polycarbonate coating that provides additional protection. The interior also gets a fresh air transmission system that feeds fresh air into the cabin.
Mechanically, It comes powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers a maximum power output of 523 bhp and a peak torque of 84.61 kgm. However, the fuel tank assembled doesn't come armoured but offers great advantage whenever gets hit as it has been made up of some special material used by Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopters. If hit, the fuel tank closes the holes automatically, avoiding any leakage. In the Indian market, the all-new Maybach S600 Guard will rival with the recently launched Audi A8L security, which was launched at the Auto Expo 2016 at a price of INR 9.12 Crore.
