After getting displayed at the Paris Motor Show a few weeks back, Mini announced that now it'll be coming to India officially as the market is growing tremendously for the luxury cars. Keeping its promise on the way, Mini has launched both 3-Door and 5-Door cars in the Indian market starting from INR 31.85 Lac Ex-showroom. The cars are a bit expensive as they've been brought in the country via CBU route, but its attractive design and best-in-class drive and comfort features will surely make this car a hit in the market, or this what Mini is expecting. Still, I guess the price is a bit on a higher note.
Now talking about the design, these new Mini cars posses chrome surrounded lamps in front and rear, lowered hexagonal radiator grille, black border on the body and stylish wing mirrors as well on exteriors. Inside the cabin, the car has new head-up display, park assist with rear view mirror, active cruise control, front and side airbags, 3-point seat belt, initial brake function and much more.
Mentioning the engine, the cars get 3 engine variants that is a newly developed 1.5 Litre 3-cylinder twin-turbo petrol unit producing 135 bhp power and 220 Nm torque, slightly bigger 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder unit producing 191 bhp power and 280 Nm torque and a 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder diesel engine producing 1688 bhp power and 360 Nm torque. The 3-Door version will start from INR 31.85 lac ex-showroom and the 5-Door variant will be costing around INR 35.30 Lac ex-showroom.
