The second generation MINI Countryman with its evolutionary redesign is bound to grab headlines at this years Delhi Auto Expo 2018. The car is making its India debut almost a year later than its official International launch at the 2016 LA Auto Show.
Built on the UKL FWD platform, the 2018 MINI Countryman has new dimensions i.e 4,299 mm length, 1,822 mm width and 1,557 mm height. The wheelbase is 2,670 mm long.This makes it more spacious than before. The big muscle car now boasts of 350 liters of luggage space, expandable to 1,170 liters.
The features that make this car stand out include automatic climate control system, hi-fi speaker system from Harman Kardon, head-up display, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlamps with daytime driving light ring, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, panoramic glass roof.
The car comes in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel generates an output power of 102 PS whereas the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine churns out 190 PS.

For those who want more power, the automaker will offer a John Cooper Works variant of the car. It will be powered by a 231 PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. In addition to this buyers can go for a hybrid version also. The hybrid version will be powered by 224 PS plug-in hybrid powertrain which combines a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. As of now, the carmaker has kept the fine details of the Indian version under wraps. The 2018 MINI Countryman could be priced at around INR 40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
