Mitsubishi India Relaunched Montero Via CBU Route

Mitsubishi India has re-launched the facelifted iteration of the powerful SUV- Montero at an introductory price of INR 68,45,480 (Ex-showroom). Known as Pajero in the international markets, this upgraded SUV will be available for the Indian crowd via CBU route. A set of images featuring Montero has emerged online via a Tamil auto magazine - Motor Vikatan clicked at a showroom.

After its discontinuation in 2014, the Montero come back with a slew of updates on its exterior. The new featuring include Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield face cues, new bumper, redesigned spare wheel housing. Besides these, all the remaining cues are transferred as it is from the outgoing model.

Other highlights of the latest Montero are day running light, auto high beam controller, 18-inch alloy wheels, Rockford music system, touchscreen navigation, fully automatic air conditioning, sliding sunroof, power tilt, premium leather upholstery, steering mounted controls and chrome plated interior door handles.

Under the hood, Montero comes packed with a 3.2L 16-valve four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. The loaded engine is capable of producing 141 kW (189 bhp) at 3,800 rpm and delivering a torque of 441 Nm at 2,000 rpm with the linked 5-speed automatic transmission. Four wheel drive system and drive select option are also provided for unconventional performance.
