As per an online surfaced patent filing document in the patent design and trademark department, the production version of the much-hyped TVS Akula 310 could get TVS Apache RR 310S branding. Earlier last year, the bike was showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo, which were a track-focused motorcycle, however, from the very recent leaked images of production version Akula 310 on a dyno bench, revealing change in dynamics and ergonomics to become an urban-friendly machine.
Some of its unveiled features during its last spy encompasses gold painted upside front forks, disc brakes integrated with ABS, monstrous twin-eye LED headlamp, vertically-placed all-digital instrument cluster and a devil horn shaped LED taillamps. All the featured components on itself adds sporty appeal to the bike.
Beneath the fuel tank, the TVS Apache RR 310S will be underpinned with the shared 313 cc fuel-injected motor from the BMW G310R, as a beating heart. The single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill is rated to belts out 34PS of maximum power and 28Nm of torque via a mated 6-speed gearbox. Apart from the engine unit, the equipped exhaust canister in the TVS’s fully faired motorcycle is also borrowed from the G310R. If talked about the exhaust note of the imminent Apache RR 310S, it is more likely to be heavy note like its Apache family.
Under manufacturing phase at the Hosur based TVS facility, the Apache RR 310S is going to hit the Indian ground by July 2017. The available contenders in this segment such as KTM RC390 and the upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R will go head to head with this imminent in India.
