The Italian motorcycle maker, Benelli has set their business in the country this year in the collaboration of the DSK Motowheels. The joint venture laid the foundation with its five models of TNT series – Benelli TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600 GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130 R in the domestic market. As per the source, the company is going to add another member in its portfolio as the company will launch its light weight motorcycle, Benelli TNT 25 this month.
Visually, the Benelli TNT 25 shares the body detailing from its elder sibling Benelli TNT 300. Components as a muscular fuel tank with extension, V-shaped compact headlamp, engine cowl, visible trellis frame and chunky slung exhaust give an aggressive look to the motorcycle. As well as multi-spoke alloy wheels, split seats and rear grab rails complement its aggressive look by amplifying its beauty. The motorcycle equipped with the digital analogue instrument console that carries analogue tachometer along with speedometer, trip-meter, odometer, selected gear indicator and clock for the rider convenience.
Furthermore, the new TNT 25 is powered by a 249cc, liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine. The motor emits 24.5 PS of power at 9,000 RPM and 21 Nm of torque at 7,000 RPM, that accelerate the street fighter at the high speed of 127kmph. The engine is coupled with six-speed transmission.
The extraordinary combination of flat handlebar, rear placed foot pegs and knee recess offers comfortable seating posture higher than sporty handling. The new TNT 25 will be brought to the Indian market by CKD route. The pricing of Benelli TNT 25 will be under INR 2 lakhs, that will compete against the Mahindra Mojo.
