The next generation model of ongoing Ford Figo hatchback caught on camera while performing test runs in India. It is not the first time when the model spied while testing. From the surfaced spy images of camouflage test mule, it appears that the upcoming Figo facelift will be blessed with a host of cosmetic upgrades to bestow an upmarket sportier appeal to its admirers. Other than this, a new petrol engine unit is also in talks. On the Indian ground, it is likely to mark its prior appearance in front of the audience at the forthcoming Auto Expo in February 2018.
Exterior wise, the changes that could observe include a new grille, reworked bumpers and tweaked blacked-out headlamps. The skid skirts are likely to be the same as the ongoing model though, a set of newly designed alloy wheels can manifest there. While at the rear the major change will be revised taillights.

Under the hood, the 1.0-litre TDCI engine that does propel duties on the current generation Figo will continue to serve the new Ford Figo. Mated to a five-speed manual transmission, the engine is able to develop the peak power of 99bhp at 3750rpm and 215Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. Besides, a new 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that is new in the 2017 EcoSport facelift, is also rumored to be provided with new Figo. The mentioned petrol engine as claimed generates 121bhp of power at 6500rpm and delivers 150Nm of torque at 4500rpm. Transmission duties might be in consideration of five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options.
Inside the cabin, we can expect, a new touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto along with the revised upholstery and new interior theme. In India, it’s launch is possible in 2018. While the complete details are expected to reveal early next year.
