Indian biking industry is growing day by day and there are a few bikes are lined up to launch in coming days. These motorcycles are from different automakers such as the Royal Enfield-leader in cruiser bike segment, Triumph Motorcycles-the legendary British automaker and the Chennai based automaker, TVS Motor Company. The model from these respective brand and launch date, are the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X and the Thunderbird 300X on January 22, the 2018 Triumph Street Triple RS and a new TVS scooter on January 5.
With the introduction of X series including variants the 500X and the 350X, the brand is going to refresh the Thunderbird moniker and hoping to get the rise in sales. The X series models are being offered in three different colours-yellow, blue and white in contrast with blacked out mechanicals. Also, the machine has been altered with the equipment of shorter handlebar and single seat. While the tiny grab rail on the standard model has been eliminated.
Beneath the fuel, the 500X is powered by the similar 499cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder mill that does propel duties on the standard model. The engine is capable of generating the maximum power of 27.5PS at 5250 rpm and the peak torque of 41.3Nm at 4000rpm. The Thunderbird 300X is packed with a 346cc air-cooled engine that churns out 20.07PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm at 4000rpm. The gearbox transmission on both the motorcycles is five-speed gearbox.
The next motorcycle ready to launch is from the Triumph Motorcycles. Chances are we could witness the arrival of top end RS variant or the brand could update S and R models for 2018 calendar year. The recently surfaced videos from brand were showcasing two Street Triple ridden by the multi-time World Superbikes Champion and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Gary Johnson. The witnessed updates on the bikes including new colour TFT screen dashboard, the Arrow exhaust and the suspension setup. The official details will be disclosed at the unveiling of the motorcycle on February 5, 2018, at 2:30 pm, as claimed by the company.
The third product that is ready to launch on January 5 is a new scooter from TVS house. From the recently released teaser video that only displaying the led tail lamp, it is expected that the product could be TVS Graphite. The concept scooter that was exhibited at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
However, the scooter has been spied several times while performing test runs. The spy images reveal that with fitments like a petal front disc, telescopic front suspension, a stylised exhaust end-can, the scooter will be sportier offering.
Under the seat, the scooter is likely to be powered by a 125cc scooter. First form TVS stable. Other than this, the speculations are the automaker could roll out this upcoming scooter with the 150cc single. Rest will only clear at the launch of the scooter.
