There is good news for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga fans. The second-gen Ertiga is slated for November 21, 2018 launch. The news comes at the back of the model’s International showcase earlier this year. Reportedly, the second-gen Ertiga is currently on sale in Indonesia.
The new Ertiga gets new dimensions with wider front fascia and longer body. However, it does manage to retain the retiring models 2,740mm wheelbase. Fresh styling elements on the new Ertiga include slimmer headlamps as well as wider rap-around LED tail lamps. Contrary to the previous generation, the second gen Ertiga has an angular fronty for fresh appeal. Further, the new Ertiga also gets the lighter and stealthier Heartect platform.

Petrol variant of the new-Ertiga will get the Ciaz’s all-new 1.5-litre petrol unit that churns out 104hp with 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. 4-speed automatic transmission will be optional. Diesel trims will continue to be powered by the same 89hp, 1.3-litre diesel engine that powers the retiring model too.

The interior takes design cues from current-gen Swift and Dzire. The cabin is good but not overly impressive. The dashboard comes equipped with Maruti Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system. Standard trims will have Dual front airbags and parking sensors for safety. Top-Spec trims will most likely get cooled cup holders and reverse camera as well.
