Mini - a globally renowned British car brand is all set to bring in the country’s premises its new limited-edition model of ‘Mini Countryman’. Setting ablaze the automobile market the car is donning a pure Black color and is priced for purchase at Rs. 42.40 Lakhs. The Black Edition of Mini Countryman demands a premium of Rs. 1 Lakh over the Range-topping trim and is only limited to 24 units for sale in Indian automobile market.

From circumference to interiors, Mini Countryman’s Black Cars Edition is all drenched in color black along with the host of exclusive accessories. The structure goes like a black front grille with black-painted bonnet strips and ‘Countryman’ engraved in black on the tailgate. Piano-black surrounds for the headlamps and tail-lights, black roof rails and carbon-fiber wing-mirror caps is what adorns the looks of Countryman.

If we dig into the car’s equipment list, Countryman’s Black Edition keeps it classy with a radiant black silhouette. The car has 18 inches alloy wheels along with LED headlights, a wide view sunroof, a rear spoiler and John Cooper Works body Kit. The list doesn’t end here, the car features keyless entry, an automatic tailgate, auto headlamps and wipers, powered front seats, two-zone automatic air conditioning and an 8.8-inch touchscreen system making it a choice of elites. Safety is prioritized by loading in the car, driver airbags and front passenger airbags, ABS, brake assist, ESC, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.

Mini’s new edition has some twisters in the appearance but there are no change in the mechanical front of the car as it is nowhere different from Cooper S and Cooper S JCW in terms of mechanism. Varients of Countryman possess a 192hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Countryman car’s assembly started at BMW’s Chennai plant last year is a clear competition to small luxury SUVs in the market like BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
