Italian two-wheeler manufacturing firm, MV Agusta with its co-partner, Kinetic group is all prepared to introduce the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale in India, in the first quarter of 2017. it can be considered as confrimed, because, the Zigwheels has informed about the arrival of 2017 Brutale 800 at the Indian headquarters for homologation purpose.
Primiarly showcased at the 2015 EICMA in Milan, the 2017 edition of the Brutale 800 is being launched with few changes like an all-new full LED headlight setup, and an improved chassis for weight reduction than its outgoing version. Apart from this, other embellished equipments, which are inherited from the last going are a three pipes exhaust system, suspension setup which comprises fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi USD forks up front and a Sachs shock absorber integrated to the single-sided swingarm.Whereas,the braking front comes with a 320mm twin-disc at the front wheel and 220mm single disc at the rear wheel. it will also offer an advanced safety feature of ABS as standard.
At its heart, it is equipped with a new 798cc, three-cylinder liquid-cooled powertrain with a counter-rotating crankshaft.The healthy mill can easily produce a maxium power of 117PS at 11,500rpm and delivers 83 Nm of peak torque at 7,600rpm. All the generated power will be dispatched to the rear wheel via a mated six-speed gearbox, which in association with EAS and hydraulically controlled slipper clutch for quick shifts. Moreover, the retuned engine for Euro4 emission norms compliance, is also embellished with lots of electronic aids for dynamic performance includes MVICS, multimap Full Ride by Wire and 8-level adjustable traction control.
Here in India, The MV Agusta Brutale 800 will make its entry via an SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) route at an expected price tag of around Rs 13-14 lakh (ex-showroom). The Yamaha MT-09, Triumph Speed Triple, Ducati Monster 821 and Kawasaki Z800, will be its potential rivals in this segment.
