The Indian arm of the Japanese performance bike maker, Yamaha has introduced the upgraded version of its naked roadster model MT-09 in the existing lineup. A perfect blend of “power of a monster” and the “agility of a roadster”, the MT-09 is launched by the bike maker in order to strengthen its grip in the superbike segment in Indian market.
This improved iteration of the MT-09 that is based on the concept of “multi-performance neo-roadster” and follows global MT Series design language, claims superior experience in terms of design and technology.
The MT-09 is on sale at INR 10,88,122 (Ex-showroom in Delhi). Relatively it is cheaper than its outgoing model due to the ongoing Goods and Service Tax (GST) that lowered down bike pricing than the earlier model. Sadly, the bike will only be available only at selected dealerships across India.
Mechanically, the new Yamaha MT-09 boasts an all-new 847cc, 3-Cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valves engine. The major highlights of the motorcycle include compact headlight assembly with four LED lights, adjustable front suspension, leaping stance, new seat design, swingarm mounted rear fender and more.
In India, the bike will be available in three colour options including Bluish Gray Solid, Deep Purplish Blue and Matte Dark Gray, all the way through CBU route.
