Recently, the well known automaker Hyundai has teased the first look of upcoming Elantra model in the form of a sketch. This car is going to make its debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and will be arriving in the market by 2016. The image suggests that this next generation vehicle will be carried on Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design, which is also utilised in the models like Hyundai i20 and Tucson. The exterior highlights a large hexagonal grille bordered by a pair of sleek head lights on either side. It will also receive a freshly designed C-Pillar and LED daytime running lights.
As per the market reports, more than 50% of its body will be constructed with steel to make it more stronger than the current version. Further, on the aerodynamic front, it can be considered as an ideal car with 0.27 Cd of drag coefficient. The coupe-like roof and diamond cut alloys will make the sedan all the more classy and sporty. As far as the interior is concerned, it is expected to be equipped with modern facilities like a hi-tech infotainment with touchscreen interface and the seats are likely to feature a new range of color combinations.
The mechanical configuration of this car comprises a 1.6 litre T-GDI motor with the capacity to deliver an output of 175 Bhp. It will be coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission system along with a seven-speed DCT that will be offered as an optional unit.
