Heavily disguised images of the Nissan all-new SUV have been surfaced on the Internet, that is based on the company's ongoing pickup, Navara NP300, which recently made its debut in the market as a latest generation model. Although, the company has not revealed any information till the day, but once launched the car can go up against the likes of the Chevrolet Trailblazer and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
Even though the prototype here was highly camouflaged, you can still see front end clearly that shares features like headlamps and radiator grille with NP300. On close inspection, you will consider that the rear end is largely shared with the Nissan Pathfinder (codenamed as R51). Essentially, the engineering mule has been spied for the first time during the test round and showed off minimal features that come from its design, while the other information are still under the impression.
Mechanically, it could possibly be powered by the same engine as the NP300. The specification of the motor includes a 2.3-litre turbo diesel unit that generates power between a range of 160 PS to 190 PS. Expect a six-speed manual as standard or an optional seven-speed automatic gearbox.
If we talk about the Nissan NP300, it is not available for sale in North America. Also, the previous body-on-frame Pathfinder got replaced by a unibody model, and the new SUV is unlikely to arrive here as well.
