Skoda’s Plans are there to offer an extended warranty for the 5th and 6th year or 1.5 lakh km (whichever earlier)
In an attempt to gear up the brand in the Indian market, Skoda, as per its “India 2.0.” strategy has planned to attract and retain its customers by offering a 6-year warranty on its vehicles. This would be brought into practice as per a new service plan - Skoda Shield Plus.
As per Skoda Shield Plus, a 6-year warranty is being offered on Skoda vehicles which is an additional two years warranty as compared to the earlier or until 1.5 lakh kilometres, whichever happens first.

Following this new service plan, Skoda would be offering a 24x7 roadside assistance program for the 5th and the 6th year along with comprehensive motor insurance for the first year and three years of third-party insurance coverage. All the above-mentioned offers are a part of the new Shield Plus package which has been designed and planned to rejuvenate the brand and the Company is hopeful for the success of the new service plan.
This new service plan facilitates all the four of Skoda’s current products, viz. the Rapid, Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq
Good news is also there for the existing Skoda owners with models having the 4-year warranty as was offered earlier, as they could avail the benefit of the new service plan and the warranty of the old models would be extended to six years as per the new Shield Plus plans if desired.
Under Skoda India 2.0 business plan the MQB A0 platform would be localized resulting in the formation of the basis of its upcoming products in the mass market. The first of unique Skoda cars based on MQB A0 platform would be an SUV standing in competition with the Hyundai Creta which is going to be debuted in India in 2020.
