India based 100% electric two wheeler manufacturer that started its journey in the indian automotive industry in early this year with the launch of its first e-scooter the Ridge, has launched its second offering the Praise at the price sticker of Rs 59,889. Comparatively, the later one is costlier and intent to perform much better than the former one. At the front apron, the scooter gets large LED light incorporated with the DRLs that gives it a fascinating look. The rear of the scooter also received the LED tail lights and indicator.
At the powering front, the Okinawa Praise is loaded with a 1000 watt electric motor that is capable of generating 2500 watt of power, equivalent to 3.35 bhp that will provide the much torque to make scooter touch the top speed of 75kmph. It is being considered the fastest e-scooter of India. As the company claims, the scooter returns the mileage of 175-200 km in a single charge that will be cost around 10 paise per km for the owner.
Dimensionally, the scooter measures 970 mm in length, 745 mm in width and 1145 mm in height. While, the scooter gives a better ground clearance of 170mm along with a comfortable 774mm seat height.
Look wise, the scooter is premium in design and is equipped with an array of top end features that offers an upmarket appeal to the scooter. Rides on 12-inch wheels, the scooter comes loaded with dual discs at the front wheel and single disc at the rear wheel along with advanced aid of E-ABS. While, the suspension setup on the Praise comprises telescopic front fork and dual shocks at the rear end.
It’s not done at the features end, in addition to those there are a side-stand sensor, keyless entry, find my scooter function, anti-theft mechanism and more. The instrument cluster on the Praise is a digital unit and the under seat storage is 19.5 liters. The scooter is being offered with two battery options of a VRLA battery and an optional lithium-ion version. The former one takes around 6-8 hours for a full charge while the latter one charged up in just two hours.
As of now, the company is offering the Praise only with the lead acid battery while the lithium-ion version that will comparatively be around Rs 5000-6000 more expensive than the former one will be on sale after two or three months.
Advance bookings for the Okinawa Praise has already been commenced last month at the token amount of Rs 2000. While, the buyers will get the deliveries for the same by the end of this month. In the market, the company has a strong dealership network of 106 outlets across the country. The count is expected to reach 150 towards the end of 2018. While, the company has a plan of expanding that network upto 500 by 2020.
