Okinawa that is a Gurugram based electric vehicle manufacturer was introduced in the Indian motoring industry in 2015. Whereas, the first roll out from the company was the Ridge that is followed by the recently launched Praise e-Scooter that is pretty aggressive in terms of looks and a performance-oriented scooter.
At the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo, the brand showcased the Okinawa OKI electric that somewhere looks like the copy of Ducati monster range of premium sports bikes.
As of now, the displayed Okinawa OKI 100 is in its prototype stage and features front leaning muscular stance, chiselled fuel tank and seat, partly visible frame and a stubby tail section. Dipped in bright red colour, the OKI 100 resemble the mini Ducati Monster. It features all-LED lighting setup, fully digital instrument console, red finished front alloy wheel and split-beam headlamp and so on.
Propelling power for the OKI 100 comes from a 2.5 kW belt-driven electric motor that is powered by a li-ion detachable battery. In a full charge, the bike can easily attain the top speed of 100km/hr and travel distance of 150kms. The battery took only two hours to get the full charge from the offered charger. The suspension setup comprises USD front forks and a rear monoshock. While the disc brakes on both wheel handle braking duties.
