Ongoing Linea Seems to be Replaced by new Sedan from Fiat India

Fiat India is reportedly going to bring in a new model to the country, which will replace the Linea with a new sedan. This car would be either the production version of the Aegea concept or the Grand Siena that is being sold in the Brazilian market. However, considering the fact that both these models are available in left hand drive versions, it will be a costly affair for the automaker to introduce the new sedan for the right hand drive market. At present, the production spec Aegea is being sold in the global market including Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Fiat Aegea

Dimensionally, Fiat Aegea stands 4.5 meters long, 1.78 meters wide and 1.48 meters tall with a wheelbase measuring 2.64 meters. The boot capacity offered by this sedan is 510 litres. It is powered by MultiJet II turbocharged diesel and petrol units with output ranging between 95 to 120 Hp. The transmission is taken care by a manual as well as an automatic unit and the fuel efficiency on offer is rated at 25 km/l. It also gets various modern equipments in the cabin like infotainment system with touchscreen facility, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, voice recognition, rear parking camera, etc.

Grand Siena

Coming to the Grand Siena, this car is nothing but a new avatar of Fiat Palio, which is specifically developed for the Brazilian audience. It is smaller in size than the Linea but carries a more spacious cabin. It is counted as one of the most successful saloons in Brazil with an impressive sales growth.
