After launching the 595 Competizione hatchback, Fiat India has stepped forward to reveal another model. It has showcased a new Abarth Punto model that is inspired from the Punto Evo car. This is going to be the second car to be launched by Fiat in India, this year. Speculations are strong that it will be arriving to the showrooms during this festive season. This is going to be a performance-driven vehicle that will re-define hatchback models. It will be available within an affordable price of INR 10 Lacs so as to target the masses. After reading its features and configuration details, you will absolutely love this four-wheeler.
This model has been showcased with two color combinations including Black & Red and Grey & Orange. The Fiat logos are not found on any exterior portion of the car, rather it houses only Abarth Scorpion badges. It bears resemblance to the top ranging Punto Evo, yet manages to flaunt a sportier look. Further, it features 16-inch diamond cut alloys, horizontal slat located on the grille, side decals, and red/orange ORVMs.
Moving on to the interiors, the cabin is totally black with a yellow and red stitching pattern on the seats. The hatch gets an instrument cluster and a steering wheel with Abarth Scorpion badges mounted on it. It also employs aluminium foot pedals for the clutch, brakes and accelerator.
And now coming to the most important portion of the car i.e. the powertrain, it has got an amazing configuration. Powered by a 1.4 litre, T-Jet engine found in Fiat Linea this Abarth is capable of generating a maximum output measuring 145 Hp and more than 195 Nm of torque. The mind blowing acceleration enables this hatch to cover upto 100 km/h merely within 10 seconds. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox.
