Peugeot Likely to make a Comeback in India with 208 Hatchback

As per some recent market reports, Peugeot is considering to make a comeback to the Indian automobile market with its 208 model. This car has been caught testing on the roads of Mumbai, which hints that it will soon arrive in the country. Peugeot is a brand that used to operate here but owing to the bad economy in Europe and lack of demand, the company had to take an exit. Interestingly, the 208 model had already been spotted along with the 508 before the company stopped operating in India. This time, the company is likely to come back with an effective strategy so as to regain the audience faith.

It is anticipated that the upcoming car will be available with just petrol engine comprising 1.0 or 1.2 liter unit under its hood. An additional option of 1.2 liter turbocharged motor can also be expected to be offered with this hatchback. Talking about the technical aspects, this premium hatchback is likely to be equipped with a seven-inch infotainment facility and hi-tech Park Assist facility that enables the car to park itself in a way that it automatically leaves a parallel space.

There are endless numbers of hatchbacks available for the Indian buyers, but people always tend to explore all the options available. Being a premium model, this upcoming car might appear as a new winner in the race of hatchback models.
