Jaguar Land Rover has showcased the first convertible luxury SUV for India christened the Range Rover Evoque Convertible. The new SUV is a price at Rs. 69.53 lakh in the country.
The India-spec Range Rover Evoque Convertible is powered by JLR’s new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine which is available in the Velar as well in India.
The engine is able to churn out a maximum power of 240hp and a peak torque of 340Nm and has been mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission to distribute power to all four wheels. Jaguar Land Rover claims that the SUV can reach a 0-100kph in just 8.1 seconds and touches the top speed of 217kph.
The Evoque Convertible is in the market with fully-loaded and single HSE Dynamic variant which obtains heads-up display, adaptive LED headlights, Wi-Fi hotspot, surround view camera and InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. Further, it also has the gesture control in order to open and close the tailgate.

The highest positioned Evoque takes a reinforced monocoque chassis and obtains reinforced door panels in order to make sure solidarity, underpinned by the removal of the roof. Further, it is operated electrically and can be folded in the boot in just 20 seconds at a speed of up to 48kph.
In order to increase cabin insulation and reduce road noise, the company has set up the roof with an acoustic inner lining. The available optional wind deflector, attached and situated behind the seats eliminates optional wind deflector in case of a roof being down. The 2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible also comes with a pop-up roll-bar system to broadcast and deploy at the time of a danger from the rollover.
The standard Evoque is available in the market with a price tag of Rs 50.2 lakh to Rs 59.9 lakh in India and powered by a 2.0-litre diesel generating a peak power of 179hp.
