The Royal Enfield Himalayan is going to be launched in New Zealand in the middle of the year. The adventure tourer has set its eyes on export markets. As per the reports, RE has recently appointed an official importer and distributor for the country and in next upcoming months, the dealerships will start getting the machine. The India's fifth largest bike maker is now moving its pace ahead covering international markets side by side.
Perceiving the domestic requirements, it would be difficult for the auto giant to launch the bike in New Zealand during the middle of the year. However, it is going to be tough, but at the same time interesting as well to watch how RE manages the scenario. Melbourne-based Urban Moto Imports would be handling the operations of the retro-classic voyager in New Zealand.
Dale Schmidtchen, Sales Manager, UMI said, two months would be required to initiate the operations here in the country as the company is in the process of setting up RE dealerships across here. UMI is also the importing and retailing in charge for Benelli and MV Agusta.
