A new special edition of the Kwid hatchback, called the Superhero Edition, has been launched by Renault India and will be showcased at this year's Auto Expo. Users can book the new hatchback for an amount of Rs 9,999 exclusively on Amazon.in. This is the second special edition from the Automaker and both the editions are expected to be seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018.

The Automaker in collaboration with Marvel owner Disney will launch the two Superhero Edition.
The new hatchbacks will receive decals and graphics inspired by the superheroes (from the Avengers movies) Iron Man and Captain America. The move comes at the back of poor sales in recent months. The French brand hopes to add much needed fresh appeal to the cars by introducing the special-edition models like the Kwid Live and in the process gain the lost market share from rivals like Maruti Alto K10, Hyundai Eon, and Datsun Redi Go.

The Iron Man edition rightfully carries a bright red paint scheme with gold decals on the sides, near the roof spoiler. The iconic 'Invincible' badge adorns the rear door. The subtle gold touches in the headlamp and fog lamp housing successfully epitomize the unique arch reactor power source and his armor.

The Captain America edition is draped in white. The Bonnet has blue and rear decals on the top left side. Blue and white decals further occupy the sides and the outside mirrors. The rear door adorns the 'Super Soldier' badges. The decals incorporate designs that draw parallel to Captain America’s iconic shield. Both models seem to borrow the Kwid Climber’s 13-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the two editions successfully embody the two themes respectively. The ambiance inside after the much-needed character inspired cosmetic makeover to reflect the color schemes of the Marvel superheroes. The interior is at par with global standards i.e the top-spec RXT (O) trim. This includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation as standard.

Mechanical specs remain the same. Treading on the same line as the standard kwid model, the two special editions are available only with 68hp, 1.0-litre engine. Buyers will have the option of choosing from a five-speed AMT and a five-speed manual on the new models.
