Renault has launched the new facelift version of the popular Duster model in the Indian Market at Rs 8.47 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. The SUV was recently revealed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Since its debut in 2012, this is first time that the car has been taken through some major cosmetic changes. The new Duster gets a reprofiled aggresive grille in the front along with new set of headlights. The interior also gets new console in the centre carried by the upgraded infotainment system. The automaker has also made some major tweaks and removed some major issues that appeared in the current model. The new roof-rails come with the name imposed over it.
Under the hood, the powermill remains entirely same with the 1.5-litre four cylinder turbocharged K9K engine that churns out a peak power of 84bhp. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission accompanied with a front-wheel-drive setup. Presently, the SUV is available in all variants along with the RXS trim, which is the latest addition under the top variant RXZ.
The car offers some important safety features like ABS, EBD, brake assist, dual airbags, ESP and hill start assist. The automaker has also added some additional features that makes the car more safer. Features such as rear-view camera for parking assist, power windows with auto up/down function plus added anti-pinch and automatic climate control are some added advantage with the new Duster. Renault offers you a wide range of colour options to choose, as the new Duster is available in colours like cayenne orange, white, silver, grey, blue, black, green and brown.
The RXE petrol model has been priced at Rs 8.47 lakh for the RXE petrol, while the base diesel model of the new Duster is available at Rs 9.27 lakh. The top diesel variant, RXZ diesel AMT comes at Rs 11.67 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Duster competes with close rivals like Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, and the Maruti S-Cross.
