The Royal Enfield Himalayan has been recently spotted in an Army Green paint version at a dealership. The Indian Supreme Court had earlier banned the sale and registration of BS3 vehicles from 1st April 2017 in support to the environment and health of the people. Ever since the ban, the sale of Royal Enfield Himalayan was temporarily closed. The Himalayan motorbike was launched by the company last year and it has been, since then, surrounded by controversies due to its faulty parts and then because of adverse effects to the environment.

Royal Enfield, in response, was expected to launch the BS4 compliant version (Himalayan FI) of the bike. But we have not yet seen any such indication from the company. They are probably busy working on the newer model which is also expected to feature the famous fuel-injection technology.

Royal Enfield Himalayan White

The Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in two colour variants - white and granite. The recently spotted Himalayan bike, however, feature a new Army Green paint colour style. It probably points out to the new version which is likely to be launched very soon. The Army Green bike was spotted carrying a number of accessories on it including Army Green coloured cloth panniers, jerry cans on both sides of the fuel tank, etc. The bike was also spotted in a Battle Green colour shade which is possibly meant for the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Design Features

The BS4 variant is expected to have the same features as the old Himalayan bike. It will feature a 411cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is rated to generate 24.5HP power at 6500 rpm and 32 Nm torque. It also has a 5-speed gearbox. The bike also features 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, dual purpose tyres, a rear monoshock, a 14-litre fuel tank and high ground clearance. The new, refurbished bike with its custom features is likely to cost over Rs. 2 lakh in the Indian market.
