Prior to the global launch on 2nd of February, Royal Enfield Himalayan has arrived into a powerpack action on the official website. The popular Indian two-wheeler maker has done a fascinating job by revealing the 'making of' videos of the avidly anticipated motorcycle. The bike looked extremely stunning from its very first images and truly holds the tag of a 'purpose-built adventure motorcycle'. The website has been updated with the unveiling of the official photographs and two of the promotional videos of Himalayan. Though, many of the prominent details about the Power and specs are still in camouflage.
The well known Indian off-road motorcyclist, CS Santosh, has given a shot in the first video, showing all the riding and challenging capabilities of the Himalayan. 'It felt natural to be off-road' were the words of Santosh after he tested the bike on a rough terrain. The second video entitled 'The Terrain Test' the motorcycle being examined via a race track and soil surfaces. It also displayed the journey of the Tourer from its prototype stages to the final production model.
The video also indicated that the Royal Enfield Himalayan will be featuring a 'LS400' overhead cam single-cylinder engine. The 410cc single cylinder, four stroke oil cooled engine churns out 25 BHP of power. The bike handles rough terrains with an ease via a 21-inch front wheel. Fresh details can be expected in the coming days as the launch is hardly a week ahead from now.
