The Czech automobile manufacturer, Skoda, has officially launched the all-new 2018 Kodiaq Laurin & Klement (L&K) SUV in India. The L&K is the range-topping variant of the popular Skoda Kodiaq SUV and comes with a range of advanced features, including a 360-degree surround view system and all-digital Virtual Cockpit system. It will cost Rs 35.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.

The Kodiaq L&K is arguably the most advanced variant of the SUV. It has been named Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, who were the actual founders of the company.

The new car has been remodelled both in terms of design and mechanical features. The exterior of the 2018 Kodiaq sports ‘Laurin & Klement’ marking on the front fenders, more chrome finishing on the front grille and rear duct, and silver roof rails.

The major upgrade on the interior is the addition of a Virtual Cockpit system, making the Kodiaq L&K the first Skoda car in India to get one. Besides that, there is a large digital screen, which works as a navigation display and also shows speed and driving range of the car. The model has also been integrated with a 360-degree surround view system, which works through four wide-angle cameras mounted at the back, front and on the ORVMs. Other interior changes include a piano black interior trim, aluminium pedals and L&K logos stitching on the seats.

The 2018 Kodiaq L&K has already been launched in India and will start selling soon at an introductory price of Rs 35.99 lakh, which is about 2 lakh higher than the standard model.
