Last month, we have brought up to you a few sketches of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq, which is now being shaped in a production version acquiring more or less the same design cues. Thanks to the latest pictures that are disguised in white, black and grey camouflage foil, showing off a clear view of the upcoming Kodiaq and took around 120 hours to apply.

Apart from the images, the company has also revealed about its first impression in front of the crowd that will take place at the Tour de France ahead of its world premiere in Berlin on September 1, 2016. Based on the Volkswagen’s MQB chassis, it is claimed to have best in class boot space and a customizable third row of seats. Moreover, built with a length of 4.7 meters, it is the company's first ever mid-sized crossover to be introduced in the auto market.

Well, Czech automaker hasn’t thrown lights on what really powertrain will pull the car, however, it is expected that there is the same engine range, which currently underpins the Skoda Superb. Besides, some media reports are suggesting for the same powertrain that includes both turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines. In addition, the motors could be mated with a six-speed manual or a DSG (direct-shift-gearbox) along with both FWD and AWD drive configuration.

Before going on sale, the Kodiaq is also expected to celebrate its presence at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. So, we can believe the vehicle’s existence in the global market by the end of this year or early next year, while India launch could happen by the second half of 2017. Internationally, the car will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater arrangement and might be offered in the country too.
