An imaginary render of the faired Honda CB Hornet 160 has been surfaced online by the motoring forum, Indian Auto Blog. if go by the web reports, the faired version of the Honda CB Hornet 160R could hit the Indian ground by the end of this fiscal.
Under the fuel tank, the bike is expected to get power from the same 62.71 cc carburetted, air-cooled engine that in association with a 5-speed gearbox, is rated to belts out the maximum power of 15.04 bhp along with 14.76 Nm peak torque.
If the equipment on the faired Honda CB Hornet 160R is concerned, the bike is likely to carry forward the Hornet’s exhaust canister, alloy wheels, and tail section. While, the single piece handlebars is also not expected to be changed with clip-ons, in order to keep the bike’s price in check.
This month, Honda India has officially announced the introduction of four new products by this fiscal. Out of which, two are confirmed to be scooters, while from the other two, one, an adventure bike Honda Africa Twin has been launched in the country. The last remaining is expected to be a faired version of the Honda CB Hornet 160. Other than this, there were rumors in the Indian biking industry that the Japanese bike maker is also bringing Honda XRE300 from the Brazilian market.
Well, there is no confirmation that when the mentioned products will hit the Indian shores. But, on the pricing front, we can expect that the new Honda CB Hornet 160R variant will be tagged with the price sticker more than 10 percent of the naked roadster. That is available to purchase at INR 87,075 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
