There is a lot of fluttering going on both in the automobile industry and the web right now courtesy the spied images of upcoming Maruti Suzuki's compact model titled compact SUV YBA aka Vitara. If reports are to be believed the model can shortly be released in the Indian market as well. Although it is not clear whether Maruti Suzuki is planning to drive in YBA aka Vitara soon to India, the general report claims that the SUV could be premiered at the Auto Expo, 2016. The Suzuki Vitara was unveiled earlier at the Paris motor show and is on sale in international markets

If at all Vitara gets launched in India, Maruti will have a diverse lineup of utility vehicles, that includes the Maruti S-Cross, the forthcoming sub-4m Maruti YBA SUV, and even the Maruti Ignis, which is reported to launch in the festive season period of 2016. The Vitara in international markets is sold with two engine options: a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol making 120 hp and 156 Nm of torque, and a 1.6-liter diesel producing 120 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for the petrol option and a 6-speed manual for the diesel. For the Indian market launch, the upcoming Maruti YBA SUV is expected to carry 1.2-litre K-Series engine and 1.3 litre Fiat sourced diesel engine.
On the features front, upcoming model is likely to feature key-less entry, push start/stop button and touchscreen infotainment system, airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
