“This Yard Built really is a unique piece of art, I think it’s impossible to have a custom that lives and breathes our racing history better than this. It’s such a beautiful bike and the longer and closer you look at it the more detail you find to enjoy. You wouldn't normally associate the SR400 with MotoGP racing but this build is as genuine and authentic as it's possible to get, a real Yard Built special!,” commented by, Yamaha Motor Europe Marketing Coordinator, Cristian Barelli.

With an agreement to use the SR400 as the root of the design, Fred and Bernard have rejuvenated the spirit of the 1970s Yamaha TZ and gave the motorcycle the classic Yamaha Speedblock design. Not only this, some serious hard work has also been done in the mechanicals apart from the fancy looks. Complementing the engine is the Aisin 300 supercharger and its custom plenum chamber. To add more, one-off custom stainless steel exhaust system and an S&S 48mm carb replacing the fuel injection system comprise rest of the modifications in the build’s engine.
