The Patent images an upcoming scooter from Haojue (Suzuki’s partner in China) has surfaced online. It is codenamed as HJ150T-28, which suggests the underpinned powertrain will be a 150cc engine. However, from the images, it is not being confirmed that it is a liquid-cooled or air-cooled engine. There are chances it could be an air-cooled 150cc motor developed from Haojue’s VR150 scooter. The powertrain on this scooter is rated to generate 9.5PS at 7000 rpm and 10.5Nm at 5000 rpm. If the scooter makes its way to Indian soil then it won't be surprising to see a derivative of the Gixxer’s 154.9cc motor rated to churn out 14.8PS and 14Nm.
Apparently. the HJ150T-28 resembles the Honda PCX150 in terms of body language. The front apron mounted all LED Headlamps are among key design highlights of the scooters. Other features comprise a little windshield, instrument cluster, and footrest on the apron as similar to the Burgman Street 125. The rear section receives split grab rails above the tail lamp seems shared from the Burgman Street 125.
The suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. While for braking, there are disc units at both wheels with ABS. from the images, the scooter seems rides on 14-inch wheels. In the global markets, this upcoming scooter is expected to launch horns with the Yamaha NMax and the Honda PCX150 among others.
