Suzuki launched the all-new Burgman Street 125 scooter in the country today. The scooter was first revealed during the Auto Expo 2018 and follows design and name of its elder comrade Burgman which is available in international market. The Burgman will take the place in the segment for being first maxi-scooter in company line-up in India. The scooter is fully loaded with features and shares the powertrain of the Suzuki Access 125 cc. In the market, it will compete the Suzuki Access, Honda Grazia and the TVS NTorq.
With the high expectations concerning sales, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 comes with the LCD instrument cluster, LED headlamp, large alloy wheels, tall windscreen, LED taillights, front disc brake, Combined Braking System (CBS), more storage space, a step-up style seat. It takes power from a 124 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is able to churn out a peak power of 8.5 bhp at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 scooter works on a continuously variable transmission setup. At the starting price point of Rs. 68,000 (ex-showroom), it delivers a mileage of 53.5 kmpl. Now, the company is offering the scooter in a single variant and three color choices of Mirage White, Fibroins Gray and Sparkle Black.
