Suzuki Gixxer SF Officially Acquainted on 7th April, 2015

Following the success history of the naked street-sports motorcycle, the faired version of the very same is on its way targeting the existing fully-faired sports motorcycles in the Indian market. Suzuki Motorcycles, the Japanese two-wheeler maker has officially announced the launch date for the next upcoming, Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is a faired version of the lately introduced naked sports motorcycle, Suzuki Gixxer. As per the invitations sent out by the manufacturer, the faired version is readying to launch on 7th April, 2015.

Just to recap, the Suzuki Gixxer SF is powered by the very same street-fighter's engine. The air-cooled carburetor mill is incorporated with 155cc displaced engine. The single-cylinder motor is tuned to generate a maximum power of 14.6 BHP @ 8000 revs and achieves a peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6000 RPM. The 155cc displaced engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The riding quality has been taken care by Telescopic front fork and monoshock at the rear.

Cosmetically, the Suzuki Gixxer SF is featuring a front-fairing, which increases a little bit weight of the street-sports motorcycle. The sitting arrangement of the rider and the pillion, tyres and rear section are seems to be inspired from the segment ruler, Suzuki Hayabusa. The Suzuki Gixxer SF would be competing with the KTM RC 200, Yamaha R15 and the Bajaj's upcoming Pulsar RS 200. We can also expect it to be pricier than the naked version. The Suzuki Gixxer is priced at Rs 83,549 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).

The company would be offering the very same paint scheme options for the upcoming faired version motorcycle. Currently, the firm is offering five color options; Metallic Oort Grey, Metallic Triton Blue, Candy Anteras red, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.
