Suzuki Motors India Private Limited (SMIPL), a rapidly growing two wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market, registered the sale around 3.45 lakh units, last year. Unfortunately the automaker is expecting a slight downfall at this fiscal year with the sales figures nearer to 3.2 lakh units, that is 25 lakh less than last year. Besides this downfall, the SMPIL is assured about their upcoming products and demands for their scooter and motorcycle, to see fascinating sales figures.

Mr. Masayoshi Ito, outgoing managing director,SMIPL’s says “India is one of the most important two-wheeler markets for Suzuki. Their goal is to hit the 1 million units mark by the year 2020. The goal though steep is achievable given the growing demand for both motorcycles and scooters among customers”.
Yesterday, SMIPL launched the 2016 Suzuki Access 125, priced at an economical money value of INR 53,887 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Equipped with various first in segment features, new Access 125 is powered by the same single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke with 124cc displacement engine. The revolutionary SEP technology helps in churns out the power of 8.58bhp at 7000 rpm and torque of 9.8 Nm at 5000 rpm and transmitted this power via CVT transmission. The Access 125 is the Suzuki’s flagship scooter and it claims to sell 2 lakh unit in a year.
The 2016 Access 125 will blow head with the Honda Activa 125 and Mahindra Gusto 125 in this space. Moreover, They did not reveal about any of its future models, but if needed it can bring scooter in 200-250cc segment. The Suzuki Gixxer twins- Gixxer and Gixxer GF doing well and made a strong hold and increase sales figures of the Suzuki in India.
