Suzuki Motorcycles has unveiled the GSX-R1000R Origins edition in front of the world. This special edition model of the GSX-R1000R is rolled out by the company in order to pay tribute to the iconic 1985 GSX-R750. The GSX-R750 is popular for being the mother of modern sports bikes.
The GSX-R1000R underpins standard GSX-R1000R chassis and wears the blue and white livery. Across the world, the GSX-R1000R will be produced in a limited count of 33 units. The Origins Edition as compared to the standard model get equipped with a host of additional components including adjustable racing footrest, passenger seat cowl, aluminium chain guard, aluminium heel plates, aluminium oil cap, carbon fibre front air intakes and engine covers along with an Akrapovic Carbon exhaust. Besides, there is a plate on the bike that reveals the unit number. Whereas, the offered wooden box contains original parts.
Mechanically, the motorcycle did not get any changes at the powertrain end. It is powered by the similar a 999cc, in-line four-cylinder engine of the ongoing model. The engine is rated to generate the maximum power of 202bhp along with the peak torque of 117.6Nm.
The price for the limited edition model is not revealed officially yet, though it would get a worthy price sticker for the special edition model. Its India launch is still in darkness as there are no official words for this also.
