Suzuki Motorcycle India, in terms of sales per month, is witnessing a constant growth rate. Last month, the registered sales hike was 13 per cent with 56,531 units as compared to 49,647 units dispatched during the similar month previous year. The Suzuki range of scooters is responsible for such a surge in sales.
Contributing great in Suzuki sales in November 2018, the Access 125 remained Hero in segment through the newly launched maxi-styled scooter, the Burgman Street 125 stands beside to generate volume sales. The good initial customer response is making Street 125 to find 10,000 happy homes monthly and let it take the third position in the 125cc scooter segment by replacing the Honda Grazia.
In the domestic market, the company decomposes 53,058 units as against to 42,722 units sold in the similar month last year. The registered hike was 24.19 per cent. On a year-to-date sales basis, the company which is aiming to attain 7.5 lakh unit sales this FY2018-19 has indexed 4,93,329 units. Such growth rate somewhere makes us believe of brand’s reaching to set goals. However, the bike segment is not sporting to that level besides the Gixxer got updated, owing to intense competition in the performance segment. The segment which has witnessed the arrival of new models from different manufacturers. Here the Japanese giant has need of introducing a new or an advanced Gixxer series in the lineup soon.
As per the waving reports, the Gixxer 250 is under consideration and can hit the country anytime sooner. Well, the model is on sale in other Asian markets. In the 125cc scooter segment, the Burgman Street 125 is the only maxi-styled scooter which makes its popular against rivals available with practicality.
The Burgman Street 125 gets power from a 124 cc engine. It is the similar unit that performs duty on the Access 125. The motor is claimed of generating the peak power of 8.6 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to CVT automatic transmission. On boards, braking specs on Street 125 comprise disc and drum combinations. The company asks for INR 70,016 (ex-showroom).
