Suzuki Gixxer, the most selling bike from the Japanese bike maker in India, has recently been showcased in a special edition at the continuing 2018 Auto Expo. In India, the naked streetfighter marked its official entry in September 2014. Meanwhile, the Indian biking market was evolving and moving ahead to fun-to-ride bikes from the traditional commuters that were always the first choice of almost every Indian.
This lately showcased limited edition Suzuki Gixxer was sharing platform with the 16 other models at India’s biggest motor show. The changes witnessed on this bike as compared to the regular model were the introduction of a new colour scheme with refreshing graphics along with a few cosmetic updates.
Mechanically, no changes are observed on the special edition Gixxer as the powering unit, suspension setup and braking setup are all similar to the ongoing model.
Overall, the street fighter looks combative with the furnished curved body panels and a dual port exhaust pipe. The new colour scheme includes options like Candy Sonoma Red and Metallic Sonic Silver paint scheme in perfect amalgamation with revised graphics. The 17-inch alloy wheels also received red rim stripes in contrasting with the paint scheme.
Beneath the fuel tank, the similar 155cc, single-cylinder, carbureted engine from the regular model, is equipped to take care propelling duties. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox transmission, the engine is capable of generating the peak power of 14.8PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The mill is supported by brand’s SEP technology that claims the excellent fuel efficiency of 64km/l. The bike suspended on the inverted front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking components include a standard disc brake upfront and rear disc brake.

The ongoing Suzuki Gixxer with rear disc brake is priced at INR 78,317 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). So we can expect this limited edition to be launched at a slight premium price tag in coming future.
