A special edition of available SUV offering in Indian lineup, the Hexa from Tata Motors, has been unveiled. As compared to the standard model, the upcoming Hexa Downtown Urban Edition will be an evolved iteration not only at the cosmetic front inside out but also at added features. The model is ready to hit the Indian market anytime soon.
In a new Urban Bronze paint scheme, the special edition will be offered with two package options including Absolute and Indulge. The offering that is common in both the packages is chrome work on the components such as headlamp and tail-lamp surrounds, and on the sides and the outside rear view mirrors. Other features in packages include Downtown badges, side steps, wireless smartphone charging, a carpet set and a car care kit.
If the variant wise features are considered in offered packages via company, the top of the line XT and XTA trims gets two Blaupunkt 10.1-inch infotainment screens for the rear and a dashboard-mounted heads-up display with the Indulge package. The later mentioned heads-up display provides the required speed limit alerts, battery voltage and tyre pressure information for the driver. On the other hand, the low end trims XE, XM and XMA come with the addition of new tan seat covers in Absolute package, while in Indulge package they gets new 16-inch alloy wheels.

Beneath the front end, carried forward 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine from standard model will perform propelling duties on the Hexa Downtown Urban Edition. The engine will churn out 150hp and 320Nm of peak torque for the XE variant. While for all other trims it will be around 156hp and 400Nm. The transmission options for different trims are like a five speed manual transmission for the XE, the XM and a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission for the XT trims. An optional four-wheel drive option is also on offer for the top-spec XT variant.
As of now, the price for this special Hexa Downtown Urban Edition has not been revealed by the carmaker. Whilst, the standard Hexa is priced in the range of INR 11.72 lakh to INR 17.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
