Tata Tiago-based sedan, Kite 5 (code name) is to be named shortly with one of these three suggested names- the Canvas, Dribble, or Ingrid. Motor Octane reports that Tata Motors have shortlisted these three names for the Tata KITE 5 sedan. This sedan is expected to be launched in India around the festive season. It will be placed in between the automakers sub-4m sedan Indigo eCS and Tata Zest.
Tata Kite 5 was unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto expo, wearing sporty exterior measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, and 1,535 mm in height. It stands on a 2,450 mm wheelbase and 15-inch alloy wheels. The interior is quite similar to the Tiago as it also gets a 5-inch entertainment system, an 8-speaker audio system and GPS-guided navigation. The KITE 5 will also offer a wooping boot space of 420 litre.
Under the hood, it comes powered by all-new 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. Tata kite 5 diesel variant comes with a 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engine. However, the company has not revealed the power output of the diesel variant yet. Both the engines shall be offered with two driving modes- City and Eco.
