Tata Motors has an impressive product lineup for the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2018. Sulking in the attention at the huge TATA Motors stand would be the new Nexon AMT. The near-production versions of the X451 hatchback and H5 SUV could also be showcased at the event.
On the lines of Nano, Tiago, Zest and Tigor, Tata will provide Automated manual transmission for both petrol and diesel variants of its strategically priced compact SUV “TATA NEXON”. There will be no discernable difference between the automatic and manual models in terms of design and feel. As per pundits, expect Nexon AMT to be available in the mid-spec XTA trim and the top-spec XZA trim.

At present, the Ford EcoSport (petrol) – is the only option for compact SUV lovers who want automatic gear transmission feature. The AMT on the Nexon replicates the current six-speed manual transmission process. With the Tata Motors entry in this segment, customers will now have more and better price options.
The compact SUV will lock horns with its Ford counterpart Ecosport. By carefully undercutting EcoSport auto, Tata Motors has gained an important initial advantage for the NEXON AMT.
