Tata is the automobile giant from India which is mostly renowned for its outstanding transport, commercial and personal vehicles. The company has provided great cars in past years. Now TATA has planned to launch their new hatch and sub four meter sedan in the auto expo for the first time. The cars will be based on the platform on which the robust cars Vista and Manza were also incarnated. The new cars are going to be totally new and doesn't resemble in any sense with the current cars.

Falcon is the project name of the new cars. The car replacing Vista is code named with "Falcon 4". This car is getting its birth and existence in TATA's European work lab or studio. It will eventually take over the Vista hatchback in 2014 and continue its duties with the engines that are powering the current hatch. The diesel engine is taken from Vista which is a 1.3 liter multijet engine but the petrol engine is a new unit which is a derived version of the Xeta hatch from TATA which will be called turbo petrol. The engine powering this car will be the base motor which TATA is developing. This series will get some more engines in future which will have larger capacity and direct fuel injection.

The second car which is code named "Falcon 5" will be replacing TATA Manza sedan. This new car will be based on Manza's platform and shares its engines also. The new car will house the diesel engine of 1.3 liter capacity and 89 BHP of power which is sourced from FIAT. A new version of petrol motor with higher power output of around 100 BHP will also be powering the new car. The Falcon 5 will be placed above the current Indigo eCS.

TATA seems to be planning the launch of new car's sedan model few months before the hatchback launch. These cars will be showcased in the Auto expo, February 2014. These cars will make their debut on Indian roads around the festival season next year.
