As per the reports from business news channel ETNow, the native car maker Tata Motors has risen up the price of all the variants of its recently launched compact hatch Tiago by Rs 6000- Rs 8000. At the time of launch, Tata has presented the car with a price sticker between the range of INR 3.2 lakh and INR 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Within first four months since the launch, the automaker has received over 40,000 bookings for the compact car. One of the main reasons for the price hike is because of the upcoming festive season. Being the country’s popular best-selling model in a very short period, Tiago contributes for as much as 38 percent of the company’s entire domestic sales. From a total of 13,586 units sold out in the month of July, 5114 were under the name of Tiago. Announcing a hike at this stage is surely a smart move by the automaker.

There’s a waiting period of 3-4 months for the hatchback. In order to curb the waiting time, the company is planning to re-schedule the production at Sanand Plant. Tiago has evolved as one of the eminent offerings from the native giant after a lot of hard work and hurdles faced. The car in question features both petrol and diesel trims.
