Recently, the compact sedan Tata Zest has completed one year in the Indian car market and to celebrate this occasion, the automaker has introduced a special Anniversary edition model. This car is based on the XMS variant and has been priced higher than the regular version by INR 14,000. The petrol trim is available at INR 5.89 Lacs, while the diesel one costs INR 6.94 Lacs, (all prices ex-showroom). Equipments worth INR 31,000 have been additionally fitted in this car that bring newness in the looks and make it more appealing.
From outside, exterior remains same except some subtle yet noticeable alterations. These include 'Anniversary Edition' badges etched on the C pillar, Anniversary theme body graphics, and new wheel caps. Further, the lower bumper at the front carries body color, while the wing mirrors don piano black paint. Entering inside, the cabin highlights Anniversary embroidery on seat covers, illuminated scuff plate, bottle holder on the floor console and power curtains with remote functioning. Other features include fabric upholstery, 2 DIN infotainment facility, steering mounted controls, automatically adjustable ORVMs, etc.
The mechanical configuration comprises a 1.3 litre Quadrajet engine that has the capacity to produce 88.8 Bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. In addition to this, a 1.2 litre Revotron petrol unit is also offered pumping out 88.8 Bhp and 140 Nm of maximum output. For transmission, a five-speed manual gearbox is mated with the engine.
